Why Do We Fast?
Here at TWC, we believe in the power of fasting and prayer. We fast to remove distractions, realign our hearts, and draw near to God. Fasting isn't about striving or punishment — it's about making room. When we deny our flesh, we increase our sensitivity to the Spirit.
We fast to hunger for more of God. We fast to believe for breakthrough, healing, and miracles. We fast to intercede for our families, our church, our city, and our world.
In Matthew 6, Jesus said "When you fast...' not if. That tells us fasting is meant to be a regular rhythm in the life of a believer.
Whether you're fasting food, sugar, social media, or something else - it's not about what you're giving up. It's about who you're giving it to.
Below you will find some resources to help you fast and place to submit prayer requests. We are all on this journey together so feel free to bookmark this page so you can check back and agree with the prayer requests submitted.
